Before Biden’s American Rescue Plan, my husband and I paid $1500/month for health insurance. $18,000/year. We each run our own small businesses. Under the Rescue Plan, we pay $750/month. Medicare will kick in in just a few years, giving us relief from crushing health care costs. But what about all those small businesses that can’t offer health insurance to their employees? Many employees opt to go without…one accident, one illness, away from bankruptcy.
